I've learned that in order to achieve your goals, it is very important to set time limits for them.
1. I think I've become more determined as this semester passed. When I started this class, I knew I wanted to become a pharmacist but i wasn't sure and i didn't know how to get my ways around so i was always doubtful about it. But as i did different exercise for this class, i learned how to get what i want, reach my contact and also what to do if one of my plans don't work out.
2. I think i've become more open minded as i took this class. Before, i used to think that there's only one way trip to everything. But after talking to my sources, i realized that if you want something and its not directly written down, there are still high chances that you can get your way around as long you know exactly what you want. Also, I realized that in my future, I don't need to do things to make other people happy. Instead i need to do something tha will make me happy and as i'm happy those that care about me willl be happy for me and that's all that matter.
3. I've become more organized after taking this class. Also, i've started to write down everything that i need to get done. I've becoming good at e-mailing/calling and getting in touch with people. Also, i stopped watching tv that much. I mean watching it for three hours was kind of hard and now that rule is gone, i watch it for more than three hours but, way less than what it used to be.
4. a. I liked how the class was organized
b. I liked the blog, it helped us to reflect back on everything that we did
c. I liked the home/support groups. It really helped us with getting us contacts
5. a. I didn't like how we had so much reading.
b. I didn't like the Daily Chart, thank god we stopped that!
c. I didn't like how the class was only 100 points, it was very easy to lose points
6. a. I would change the timing of the class.
b. I would sign less amoung of readings every week.
c. I would try to make this class worth more than 100 points.

Work the Plan
Exercise #1
My first step was to have atleast half of the rough draft done for my AAST 245 Research Paper. I'm not really on top of that right now but I still have time to finish it and right after I finish this blog, I'm going back to the research.
Exercise #2
I held my Weekly Business meeting with my friend today. We planned out a schedule for next week. She has an exam and a presentation coming up so she made sure she put in enough time in her schedule for that. Also, we decided to go work out for an hour on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Since I had to do the Sunday meeting by myself, I didn't really mind not being specific on my business meeting with my friend. Well to be honest, I don't really understand the difference between having a business meeting with a buddy and a sunday meeting by myself. Because from what I understand, you plan out your weekly schedule according to what you are going to get done each day at both meetings..?
Exercise #3
At the Sunday meeting by myself, I wrote down all the things that needs to get done this week and this weekend and then broke it down to each day. For Monday, I wrote down:
Work out, Economics HW, AAST 245 Paper, Watch Gossip Girl and One tree hill, Prink KN 260 and Nutrition slides, Shower, dinner. (Order doesn't matter as long as everything gets done)
For Tuesday: AAST 245 Paper, work out, call 'accelerated', Read Biomechanics, laundry, Law and Order SVU, shower, dinner. For Wednesday: Finish AAST 245 Paper, CSI:NY, set up the diet analysis slide, review Nutrition slides. For Thursday: start diet analysis, work out, shower, read biomechanis and AAST 245 article, go out!

The Buddy System
I was supposed to shadown a pharmacy student this Monday, but she cancelled out Sunday night because she had a huge paper due. So she said we'll reschedule it and hopefully we can find another time that works for both of us. I also went to two interviews today and one of them went well and the other one was looking for full time so I didn't really stay for the entire meeting. However, I'm not sure if I should take this job or not because it is commission based and I have to pay 600 dollars to get the license and I won't be able to work a lot of hours once school starts in August so I'm not sure if I should take this offer or not.
For the buddy system, I chose my friend and room mate, Geethi as my buddy. I chose her because I figured I would see her every night and it will be hard not to stay on track. So we decided that we'll make a schedule every Sunday night after church. So for this week my schedule looks like this:
Monday: Work on KN 260 hw, Go home and print out resumes for the interview, Read the Sudan article for AAST 245
Tuesday: Go to two interviews, Read the second article for AAST 245 and look over the notes.
Wednesday: Do laundry, research for 245 paper.
Thursday: Continue researching for 245, have atleast three sources for the paper, work out
Friday: Go home, go hang out with friends
Saturday: work, finish half of the rough draft for 245 paper.

Moving and Shaking pt. 2!!
Okay so I just talked to Lisa Mitchner from Glenbrook Hospital and she said that we could work something around for shadowing/volunteering at the Pharmacy Department!!!!! Internship would've been so much better but at this point, I was willing to take anything..and I really think this will be a good experience and really hope it will help me. I also talked to a P2 Pharmacy student at UIC College of Pharmacy and set up to shadow her on Monday. I just got two steps done on my flow chart on the same week!!!

Moving and Shaking
So I just finished this week's reading and I'm not trying to be disrespectful or anything but what 8 and 5 year old goes to supermarket by themselves to shop and makes dinner and set the table?(pg 225). I thought that was a little too much to be real then again, you never know..
One of my goals from the flow chart was to find an internship for pharmacy. Well I was all set for a summer internship at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview till I got an e-mail from Lisa Mitchner(Director of Pharmacy) that the program is being cancelled due to cut backs! So I was back at ground zero, so i called her couple of times, couldn't reach her, e-mailed her but the responses weren't straighforward but i finally got to reach her on friday and asked her if I could volunteer or shadown atleast twice a week or something. She said she'll get back to my by monday if not middle of the week after talking with management and hopefully she'll say yes!
I also set up two interviews for summer jobs this coming tuesday (April 14th) I'm hoping it will go well and I can finally get a job.
For exercise #2, it was a bit hard to do it, I didn't get any resistance from people that I know because I live here, not home and I didn't really get into an argument with my parents this weekend(hahah suprisingly). Therefor, the only form of resistance that I faced is when the director said that I might not be able to be in the program and she was kind of hesistant to the idea of shadowing or volunteering since no one else has done in the past. I was a bit dissappointed, actually a lot when i first heard that because i was really really looking forward to this experience and when it got turned down, I was upset. I think it revealed more of a survival fear because I've been having a hard time getting a Pharm Tech job as well and I started to think that these are signs for me saying that pharmacy is not for me and I should do something else. And usually I give up when something gets in the way, but this time, I didn't and I kept calling/e-mailing her till I got a hold of her and kept pushing for some kind of oppurtunity to experience working in a pharmacy. This is new to me and to be honest it felt weird. Because I don't insisit on the same thing with strangers or directors/boss etc. I usually settle in for what I got even if I'm not happy because I'm too scared to say what I want and disappoint them. But this time, even when the program got cancelled and had a hard time reaching the director, I kept trying and really didn't care if I came off as "annoying". I really wanted to get some sort of experience because I was sick of hearing no! This also motivated to get my lazy butt to make a resume and start applying for jobs for the summer. (Trust me, this is the first time I didn't just get upset and depressed..I mean I did, but i'm very proud that I didn't stop there). I usually give up pretty easy in life when i face obstacles and I'm starting to realize that is not a good/healthy way to deal with problems. I think i've heard plenty of NOs especially when it comes to finding a job and I was always so scared to go out of my circle and keep trying. I'm not sure what the underlying message is, but I think I dealt with it pretty good (it probably could've been better) and I really hope that I get more optimistic about things and stop giving up right away and stay motivated!!

Get into Action!
Exercise #1
I wasn't in class last wednesday but my two steps to reach my goal was:
1. Call neighborhood pharmacies to see if they are hiring
2. Meet with counselor, sign up for summer school and plan out rest of the classes I need to take, when I should take it and when I should take my PCATs.
I did my second step first. I met with my academic counselor during spring break and planned out the schedule with her. I'm also planning on taking PCATs next fall semester after studying for it this summer. I signed up for summer school today.
However, I didn't have any luck with the first step. I called 1 Wal-Mart, 3 Walgreens and 1 CVS and none of them are hiring. I was pretty disappointed after that so I didn't really call any other places. I guess I shouldn't have given up but I was discouraged with all the NOs!!
Exercise #2
I already finished all of my interviews. However, I e-mailed one of the contacts that I got from one of the person I interviewed and she've been giving me information about Pharmacy schools.

First Step
So my first step was to study over the weekend for my midterm on Thursday and I did! However, I went to Florida over the weekend so I wasn't able to get a lot done as I planned but I did get some stuff done on the plane and did hw there!!
More interviews:)
So this week I interviewed two people: Denisha Dade and Gloria Choi.
Denisha Dade is a Pharmaceutical Business major in Ohio Northern University. She likes the program so far matter of fact she used to be in the Pharmacy program and she likes this much better. There's only two schools in US that specifically focuses on Pharmaceutical Business. When i asked her about the program itself, she said its not easy because you still need to take science and math classes and combine it with business class but she likes it much better than the Pharmacy classes. She has a management concentration and still needs to take biology, anatomy and physiology and chemistry. She is really happy with her decision of switching to this because she is more confident that she could be better as a Pharmaceutical businesswoman rather than a Pharmacist. After talking to her, I am a bit interested in this field just in case Pharmacy doesn't work out for me. It seems interesting and challenging and also will be able to work with a lot of pharmacy corporations. However, I can still work for other companies even though I have a concentration for Pharmacy.
The second person I interviewed was Gloria Choi and she is a Pharmaceutical sales woman in New York. In college, she was a sociology major and didn't take any science classes. Upon graduation, she worked with Enterprise and then moved on to Johsnson and Johnson and after that worked for Glassy's McClient(i don't think i spelled this right) for three years in Manhattan and moved to a smaller company with a promotion and that's where she is working now. When I asked her how she got into, she said that you have to learn about different products by yourself and then you go to a training session where they teach you more. It is important that you have the drive to learn because it is pretty much like homeschooling except you are the teacher and student and it is very easy to slack but more important that you don't! The experience in this field really depends with individual company and the group of people that you work with and your management. I also learned that you would have to travel couple of times a year and the best part of the job is that your expenses are covered! You get a company car, bonuses, decent pay and expenses during traveling is also covered. There are also many factors that affect the selling which could affect your perspective about this job. She told me it could get very challenging depending on doctors, pharmacists, insurance company(which all play an important role in selling). However, overrall she've been with this profession for a long time and she likes the challenges that she faces. Yes there are days where she doesn't like it and wants to quit but then she likes what she does soo much to just quit in a day!
I interviewed these two people and got two more contacts from them to see what my options are if Pharmacy School doesn't work out for me and so far I like what's infront of me and I'm seriously going to keep this in my mind. Also, I have to be honest, I'm starting to like this interviewing process and starting to realize that reaching out to people is not soo bad:)

Interviews Pt.2!!
So for this week, I interviewed two more people who are working in a profession that I'm slightly interested in. Last week I interviewed my uncle and aunt who were both pharmacists and got their opinion about this field. However there were not able to answer some of my questions and since I knew both of them, I wanted to get a outside perspective about the Pharmacy field. So I decided to go the Walmart Pharmacy Department on Friday night and see if I can talk to the Pharmacist there. Fortunately, I was able to talk to the Pharmacy manager there and he told me to come in on Saturday so I can ask him few questions. Unfortunately, when I went in Saturday, I found out that he also went to school in India (I guess it was my fault for not asking him on Friday) but he still answered some of my questions. His name is Chirag Doshi and he is the Pharmacy Manager at Walmart Pharmacy in Niles. He have been working there for a year now since the store opened up and before that he used to work for Walgreens. What drove him to becoming a pharmacist was that he really likes helping people and he said he gets to help a lot more people at Walmart than Walgreens because the Pharmacy is bigger and some of the medicines are cheaper so a lot more people come to Walmart and therefore he has an impact on greater amount of people. And I saw what he meant by a lot more people coming by the Pharmacy because just in ten minutes, he had two phone calls and consulted a patient. He told me that school is really hard regardless to where you get the degree and you really need a passion for this otherwise you'll end up regreting it. Since he is the manager, his work also consists of paper work for the entire pharmacy department. I was not able to ask him a lot of questions since he was in a rush. But hopefullly next time, I can talk to someone that went to Pharmacy school in America so I can ask them about their experience while in school and job life after.
The second person I interviewed was my cousin's friend and she just graduated from Occupational Therapy and is studying for the board exam. She is planning on taking that sometime in April so she is currently not working but I was able to find out about how OT schools are like. She got her bachelor's in Biology at Purdue University, IN and then went to Midwester University,IL to get her Master's Degree in OT. After she passes her board exam, she is looking forward to working at small clinics like most Occupational Therapists. (You could work at Hospitals, health centers etc but she wants to work at small clinics and really get to know her clients) She said OT schools are not easy and there were numerous times where she just wanted to give up. But she kept fighting and was determined to become an OT. She said school was tough because she didn't really get a 2-3 month summer vacation like every one else. It was very fast paced and it is important not to fall behind because once you do, then it could be very difficult to get back on track and she actually knows someone that dropped out of the program. When I asked her what made her chose OT as a profession, she really couldn't think of a specific reason. She said she knew she wanted a professional degree and OT was the shortest since PT schools require Doctrate now and its four and she ended up really liking the profession and got lucky. OT school has a lot of science and study of motion and you have to pay close attention to small details because out in the real world, you'll need to use that as you work with patients and helping with their small joint movements. I asked her if she is planning on going back to school and she said as of now, NO!

Interviews!!
So for this week, I interviewed two of my family members who are both pharmacists. However, both of don't live in Chicago, so it had to be a phone interview. First I interviewed my uncle who is working as a Pharmacist at a Walgreens in Tampa, Fl. He is the one who always told me look into Pharmacy career or at least try to see if I would like it because he loves what he does more than anything (well may be not his family..?). He got his Pharmacy Degree in India(where it is a masters course rather than doctrate). After he was done with school, he got married to my aunt and came to America to be with her and start a family. When he came here, he had to take more classes and an exam to fulfill the requirements to become a Pharmacist here in America. He fulfilled all of his credit hours and started working as a Pharmacy tech first to get some hands on experience before taking the exam because the whole drug making and different combination of drugs to treat diseases and stuff intrested him very much. After working as a Pharmacy Technician for almost two years and studying for the board exam in between, he decided to take the exam for the first time to become a licensed Pharmacist. Unfortunately, he didn't pass the exam the first time. But what I liked about him was that he didn't give up! The fact that he didn't pass the board didn't discourage him, instead it made him more motivated and pushed him to work harder and study more. I think my uncle was really unlucky when it came to taking the board exam because when he took it again for the fifth or sixth time, he lost it by a point which is very sad. But he was strong enough to keep trying and working as a pharmcy tech instead of giving up and moving on to a different career. After trying for numerous time, he took a break from taking the boards and just worked as a pharmacy tech. After moving to florida and trying it for almost ten years, he finally passed the board and he became a pharmacist and started working as one at a Walgreens. One thing that he learned throughout his journey is that not go give up on something that you reallly want. He also said that since he struggled so much to get to where he is right now, he appreciates what he has a lot more and enjoys it a lot too. From hearing his story, I also learned that I need to be more determined about what I want in life and fight for it if I really want it because not everything comes easy in life!
The second interview that I had was with my aunt who is working at a clinic in Indiana. Like my uncle, she also got her degree in India but when she came here, she had to go to school here for two more years. Unlike my uncle, she didn't work when she was in school, but worked as a pharm tech before she took a her board to become a licensed pharmacist. She worked at Walgreens too as a pharm tech before taking her exam. She was lucky enough to pass the exam on the first try and got her license. After she got her license her and family moved to Indiana and she started working at a private clinic, which she said is completely different from working for a big company like Walgreens. At Walgreens, she said they had many patients and every case or prescriptions were different from each other. However, at her clinic now, it is very small and few number of patients. She said it is also because she lives in a remote area and the population around there is very small. When I asked her which one she liked better, she said even though it has less benefits, she liked working at the clinic better than Walgreens because she felt like she had a biggern impact on her clients because she knows all of them very well!
After I interviewed these two, I think I want to give Pharmacy a real chance and see if I'm going to like it. However, I think I also need to get different people's perspectives rather than just family members. So I landed myself a intership/volunteer oppurtunity at the Pharmacy Department at Glenbrook Hospital and I'm going to be working there over the summer, so I'll get to know more about this field and what it is really like and why my uncle loves it soo much!

4: Discovering Myself!
Exercise 1:
Dream: To be happy
Touchstone: To be able to do what I want and still get a decent pay for it
Role Model: My uncle
Target: Getting a PharmD
I don't believe that being rich makes you happy but I think it could solve half of my materialistic problems such as being able to buy what I want without having to stress so much about money and can easily ownn a nice car, house etc. However, it is also important to me that I'll have my family and friends with me to share my happiness because if I don't have them near me, I don't think I'll ever be successful in life. Also, I realized as a human being, no one is ever satisfied and you always push yourself for something better hoping that will make you more happy!

After taking the personality test, the results showed that my personality is:
Your Type is ISFJ
Introverted
Sensing
Feeling
Judging
You are:
slightly expressed introvert
moderately expressed sensing personality
moderately expressed feeling personality
moderately expressed judging personality
The Nurturer
As an ISFJ, your primary mode of living is focused internally, where you takes things in via your five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Your secondary mode is external, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit into your personal value system.
ISFJs live in a world that is concrete and kind. They are truly warm and kind-hearted, and want to believe the best of people. They value harmony and cooperation, and are likely to be very sensitive to other people's feelings (I find this kind of true because I always put other people's opinions and feelings before mine, even if I end up getting hurt or regreting it later). People value the ISFJ for their consideration and awareness, and their ability to bring out the best in others by their firm desire to believe the best. (Its funny because I'm optimistic and supportive about others' lives and their future and very pessimistic when it comes to my life and my decisions). ISFJs have a rich inner world that is not usually obvious to observers. They constantly take in information about people and situations that is personally important to them, and store it away. This tremendous store of information is usually startlingly accurate, because the ISFJ has an exceptional memory about things that are important to their value systems. (OMG, this is soo true, I remember almost everything, even things like what my friends and family wore to events!) It would not be uncommon for the ISFJ to remember a particular facial expression or conversation in precise detail years after the event occured, if the situation made an impression on the ISFJ.
ISFJs have a very clear idea of the way things should be, which they strive to attain. They value security and kindness, and respect traditions and laws. They tend to believe that existing systems are there because they work. Therefore, they're not likely to buy into doing things in a new way, unless they're shown in a concrete way why its better than the established method.
ISFJs learn best by doing, rather than by reading about something in a book, or applying theory (This is kind of true too because reading something doesn't make sense to me unless I see it with my own eyes or get to experience it. Especially with theories, I don't really like reading about them if it cannot be proven infront of me and I can't memorize things if it doesn't make sense). For this reason, they are not likely to be found in fields which require a lot of conceptual analysis or theory. They value practical application. Traditional methods of higher education, which require a lot of theorizing and abstraction, are likely to be a chore for the ISFJ. The ISFJ learns a task best by being shown its practical application. Once the task is learned, and its practical importance is understood, the ISFJ will faithfully and tirelessly carry through the task to completion. The ISFJ is extremely dependable.
The ISFJ has an extremely well-developed sense of space, function, and aesthetic appeal. For that reason, they're likely to have beautifully furnished, functional homes. They make extremely good interior decorators. This special ability, combined with their sensitivity to other's feelings and desires, makes them very likely to be great gift-givers - finding the right gift which will be truly appreciated by the recipient.
More so than other types, ISFJs are extremely aware of their own internal feelings, as well as other people's feelings. They do not usually express their own feelings, keeping things inside. If they are negative feelings, they may build up inside the ISFJ until they turn into firm judgments against individuals which are difficult to unseed, once set (So true, its scary!) Many ISFJs learn to express themselves, and find outlets for their powerful emotions.
Just as the ISFJ is not likely to express their feelings, they are also not likely to let on that they know how others are feeling. However, they will speak up when they feel another individual really needs help, and in such cases they can truly help others become aware of their feelings.
The ISFJ feels a strong sense of responsibility and duty. They take their responsibilities very seriously, and can be counted on to follow through. For this reason, people naturally tend to rely on them. The ISFJ has a difficult time saying "no" when asked to do something, and may become over-burdened. (I can relate to this, because I can never say no to people if they ask me to do something, even if it means that I have to put something behind. I hate doing this, but I can't get myself to say no to people because then I feel like I'm offending them). In such cases, the ISFJ does not usually express their difficulties to others, because they intensely dislike conflict, and because they tend to place other people's needs over their own. The ISFJ needs to learn to identify, value, and express their own needs, if they wish to avoid becoming over-worked and taken for granted.
ISFJs need positive feedback from others. In the absence of positive feedback, or in the face of criticism, the ISFJ gets discouraged, and may even become depressed. When down on themselves or under great stress, the ISFJ begins to imagine all of the things that might go critically wrong in their life. They have strong feelings of inadequacy, and become convinced that "everything is all wrong", or "I can't do anything right". (hahah all of this is true!! wow..??)
The ISFJ is warm, generous, and dependable. They have many special gifts to offer, in their sensitivity to others, and their strong ability to keep things running smoothly. They need to remember to not be overly critical of themselves, and to give themselves some of the warmth and love which they freely dispense to others.

Post 3!!
Exercise 4: Pick a color
Okay so for this exercise, I chose to be purple. I'm fashionable, lovable and unique. I'm fashionable because as you can see i'm the new it color! you can see me everywhere and I got well with almost every color, especially black, yellow brown and some shades of green and this says that I'm very friendly as well. I'm lovable because lets just say barney!! I mean what more do I need to say? I am also very unique because I have that dark side to me where I'll stand out of the crowd. I'm unique because it is different when you see me on someone's nails or the color for someone's jeans and this makes me stand out and I love it!!
Exercise 5: The Private- Eye Game
First I checked out the closet and I saw that it was really organized. All the sweaters were put on one side, then turtlenecks and so on. I also noticed that its is also color coordinated so the rack starts from dark color to light color. The bottoms were like this too. Started off with casual jeans to dressy jeans to pants. I also noticed that she has a lot of dark/dim color than bright vibrant colors. It could say that she likes to dress up more professionally and mature than vibrant and fun. Next I looked at the cabinets and saw that her make up was all organized by having liquid stuff in one box and solid/powder stuff in another box. All the nail polishes in another box. It looked very neat and organized so I can say that this person likes it organized so she can find things easily and make sure that it looks good. However, when I opened the next drawer, which was full of accessories, it was a mess! She had different boxes for different types of accessories but it wasn't organized. It was just all over the place and I can say that she was either in a rush or is too lazy to clean because she got all the items that she needs to be organized like her make-up boxes but her jewellery isn't. So its either that she doesn't care too much about it or she was in a rush last night. The room also had a nice bed frame and chest of drawers that was matching with the carpet, drapery, photo frames and the comforter. This tells that she likes to decorate and make the room look nice.
Exercise 6: Seeing Yourself as Other See You
Even if I can have the best/ideal family in the world, I would still choose my family except I'll change them around a bit. So for my mom, I would have my mom except she will be stronger, taller, smarter and more confident. For my dad, he'll be the same, except he will be nicer, taller, and will be successfull in the business world rather than in medical field and my brother would stay as my brother but only two years older than me rather than 3.5.
Mother: Tissy is very strong and independent. She might come of as a hot tempered young women, but she does have a sweet, innocent side that is hidden inside her. Because she cares for other people and she yells at them at times not to hurt them but thinking that she is helping. I like how she could be very focused on things only if she wants too.
Father: I see Tissy as a strong individual who cares a lot for other people. She is not afraid of what other people might think about her. She is also a a pretty good singer than she thinks she is.
Brother: She has a good heart, fashionable and caring. She is a great sister to have because she doesn't try to sugar coat the truth. She says as it is and eve if it sounds bad at that instant, it helps everyone around her whether she realizes it or not.
Exercise 7: Twenty things You Like to Do
Not in any specific order, the top twenty things I like to do are:
1. Shopping
2. Watching T.V.
3. Planning events
4. Going out to eat
5. Going to theaters to watch moves
6. Listening to music
7. Hanging out with friends
8. Eating chocolate
9. Day dreaming
10. Spending time with family
11. Playing card games with friends
12. Going to parties with friends/cousins/brother
13. Talking on the phone
14. Having sleepovers/going to sleepovers and staying up all night
15. Looking through old pictures
16. Making a "To Do List"
17. Sleeping
18. Just sitting down and not doing anything
19. Looking through magazines just to look at celebrity pictures and reading those tip/survey/astrology boxes
20. Cleaning my room
Exercise 8: Your Ideal Environment
If I can pick any environment to live, I would choose to live in a rich neighborhood in Chicago with a big, huge house that has like six rooms, a pool, huge backyard etc. Like one of those celebrity houses that you see on MTV Cribs. I would also grow up in a big tight knit family. I will in the marketing department for a company. I would get to travel a lot for my work and make friends with others. I will ve very successful at what I do and my boss loves me. I'll also be surrounded with supportive/happy people. My family, even extended family is all very supportive and caring of each other. I would also want to live in an environment were friends and family mean a lot.
Exercise 9: Your Ideal Day
On an ideal day, I would wake up and look ten pounds skinnier and I'm done with school and already has a job and this is my day off. Its a summer morning so don't have to worry about shoveling snow or heating up the car. After getting ready, I'll have my breakfast already made for me at the table. After eating, I would make something for my family and then run some errands. After that, I'll have lunch with my husband somewhere near his work and after that I'll get to go shopping downtown with my girl friends. On an ideal day, I can shop all day and buy whatever I want without stressing too much about money. And after shopping, I'll go out with my friends for dinner and then come back to my place to have a sleepover. We can spend the entire night just watching t.v. eating more and just talking about girl stuff and then go back to reality the next morning!
Exercise 10: Fantasy Analysis
Indispensable:

-my house
-chicago
-my bed
Who:

-my family
Optional but desirable:
What:
-being rich
Where:
-live in a rich neighborhood
Who:
-so many friends(I would rather have few, close friends)
Frills:
What:
-looking ten pounds skinnier
Where:
-a huge house

Optional:
Another one of the activites that I tried doing was writing a story and like I predicted it did not go well. I guess I had a negtive attitude from the beginning so I never gave it a chance. Either way, I tried writing a story and realized that it takes a lot of imagination and creativity to write stories than I thought. I also said that I would never want to be a writer in my life because I would always have to think about better stories and I like it when my schedule is spaced out rather than cramming it for few weeks and then having free time. To conclude, I didn't like the fact that I had to write a story and therefore I gave up pretty easily too which i guess is not good.
The movie Chocolat was very interesting. One thing that I kinda thought was that why they didn't have an English accent? Other than that I thought the movie was very inspirational but not a boring, documentary. It was very entertaining and had a good moral for the audience. I got the message that if you believe in what you do then other people will also believe in you. The only way you can become a true, successful leader is if you believe in yourself and have the patience to pass your knowledge to others and this was the difference between the male and the female leader in the movie. She taught everyone how to do things and wasn't discouraged when the entire town turned against her. She still believed in herself and continued what she was doing. Him on the other hand, didn't know if what he was doing was right or wrong and also didn't have the patience to listen to others for example, his reaction to the priest. Overrall I thought the movie was great!

Second post
1. After talking to my mom, I realized that I was kind of a brat during infant/toddler years. I didn't like to go with anyone but my mom and I cried for every little thing. The only people that I got along with was my immediate family and I wasn't very social. Also, my mom was scared to put me down on the bed for even one second because I always crawled and fell off the bed. Also, I seemed like a risk-taker. I wasn't hesitant to try anything even if it looked dangerous and I kept doing the same thing even if I got hurt before such as following my brother up the stairs when I'm not supposed too. I cried and got sick a lot till I started going to pre-school. I needed my mom for everything till I started pre-school and after that I didn't really care. To sum it up, according to my mom, I was a handful!
2. I liked playing with my dolls and few of my brother's cars when I was young. I always liked doing things by myself even at a young age. I didn't like it when other people touched my things or I always had a special way of doing things and didn't like it when anyone interrupted that. My parents always thought I was more independent than my older brother and they thought I was mature (at times) for my age. I liked playing tag and hide and seek with my brother.
3. Like many other Indian parents, they wish/thought I would end up as a doctor or an engineer! But they never enforced it on me, so whatever I do will make them happy.
4. According to my friends, I'm laid-back,honest(open and opiniated), loyal, understanding and caring.
5. One of the things that I liked to do was shopping and the reason why is so that I can show off my clothes and feel better when I go out. So last thursday, I went out with my friends and had a great time and took lot of pictures so I can look back at it.

First blog
1. I'm taking Leadership for change to learn how to work with others actively and also to take a better look at myself and learn things about me that I never looked into it.
2. After taking this course, I can learn more about myself like what are my high/low points and also to learn how to work with others even under hard conditions. I also want to learn how to express my views and not be scared..?
3. As a child, I was really fascinated by how my older cousins were able to do a lot more things than I was such as carrying more things or being able to do stuff by themselves instead of having someone around. I was a bit slow on understanding the fact that they were older and bigger than me. I enjoyed all of the senses as a child. If anything, I enjoyed touch and smell a bit more because I liked it when my mom hugged me when I was cold and she had (still do) this nice smell..i guess its a mother thing? I was the only girl around my neighborhood and although I liked playing with my brother and his friends, I loved playing with my dolls or house even if it was by myself. I never really daydreamed when I was a child, I guess I was too busy living up my childhood. I daydream more now hoping my life would just be perfect! I always shared my dreams with everyone so I didn't really have any secrest growing up. But if I get hurt then I keep it to myself till I explode, which is a bad way to deal with your problems. I'm not sure if the things that I did as child means anything right now. I still have some of the habits and I've outgrown some too.
4. I e-mailed my brother my blogsite!
